Pumpkin Oatmeal
This oatmeal is full of autumn flavours and superfood ingredients.
Ingredients
- ½ cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup pumpkin pie filling
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp walnut pieces
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp brown sugar
Instructions
- First, make the oatmeal, of course. Bring the water to a boil and add the oatmeal. Reduce to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes. Pour into a bowl and get to your toppings.
- Chop your walnuts into spoon-friendly sized pieces and sprinkle all the toppings over your oatmeal!
Notes
You can swap the pumpkin pie filling for plain pumpkin.
Adding a nut milk, like almond or cashew at the end is a nice touch or you can even cook your oatmeal in it to make it extra creamy.
