Sweet & Spicy Tofu (dairy free, gluten free, vegan)

You can serve this tofu and sauce combo as little bites with a dip, or you can mix the tofu into the dip and serve it with rice or on a salad! I love it sticky on rice with half a sweet potato, but you can also just eat it as is with the sauce on it!

I made mine in my Ninja Foodi, but any air fryer will work!


1 block tofu
1/2 cup arrowroot starch or corn starch
1/2 tablespoon crushed chilis
1/2 tablespoon garlic
1/2 tablespoon paprika
1/2 tablespoon ginger
cooking spray

Dip / Sauce:
1 tablespoon to 1/4 cup honey
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 squirt hot sauce
1 squirt soy sauce

How To:
-cut the tofu in half width-wise, twice so you have four pieces and cut those pieces into smaller squares
-whisk the rest of the tofu ingredients together
-coat the tofu in the starch mixture and place them in the air fryer basket
-lightly spray the basket with cooking spray
-on the Foodi, I chose air fry, 390F for 15 minutes
-combine all of the sauce ingredients together

If you’re serving these as finger food with dip – you’re done!

If you’re serving these as sticky tofu, they go back into the Foodi, this time on sautee / sear for a few minutes with all of the sauce. Stir until all of the pieces have been coated with all of the sauce.
