Pattern Notes

Knitting is the perfect metaphor for life. You might spend months knitting something, but you could probably unravel the whole thing in less than an hour.”
-Gabbo De La Parra

This is an ongoing collection of detailed pattern notes and progress pictures of pattern I have knit and loved. Like a project page, but so much more!

Héloïse by Soohyun Nam

Is this one of the most beautiful shawls you’ve ever seen or no? I feel like the answer must be yes because just look at this. I have gushed about this pattern before, first in real time on my Instagram while I was knitting it.

Nordic Paws Dog Sweater by Drops Design

This Nordic Paws dog sweater by Drops Design is my 6th dog sweater and the first time I took some liberties with the pattern. My modification has nothing at all to do with the design, it was just about the construction.

Berroco Vintage Yarn

This yarn appreciation post is brought to you by the Pattern Notes post I wrote for my Super Simple Summer Sweater!

After I wrote about how much I loved knitting with it, I dug through my stash to see how much I had left over. Not nearly enough to make something with, but it did inspire me to look through all the colours on LoveCrafts and of course I fell in love with it all over again.

Super Simple Summer Sweater by Joji Locatelli

The Super Simple Summer Sweater by Joji Locatelli was the very first sweater I ever completed – after 16 years of sock knitting! I had a lot of varied knitting experience up to that point but almost all of it was learned in relation to socks (cables, lace, colourwork), and I had zero experience in shoulder shaping and that sort of thing.
